Dan has been a member of West Central MN SHRM since 2002 and a National SHRM member since 1997. He received his PHR Certification in 1999. Dan holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Jamestown College.

Dan works as the Director of Human Resources for Dairyland Healthcare Solutions, a nationwide software company, where he oversees the HR strategic direction for the three offices in Glenwood MN, Louisville KY, and Lafayette LA. Dan’s 12 years of HR experience spans the retail, healthcare operations, banking, and software industries.

In addition to being the President of West Central MN SHRM, Dan is also the President of the Alexandria Cardinal Athletic Foundation and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce.

Jessie has been a member of West Central MN SHRM since 2004 and a National SHRM member since 2002. Jessie holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, with an emphasis in Human Resources, from St. Cloud State University.

Jessie has been employed as a Benefits Coordinator at Douglas Machine Inc. in Alexandria, MN since 2003, primarily focusing on the administration, planning, and implementation of employee benefits.

Deb has been a member of West Central MN SHRM since 1996 and a National SHRM member since 1999. Deb holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Minnesota State University-Moorhead and also completed the Human Resource Management Program at Cardinal Stretch University.

Deb works as a Human Resource Supervisor at Alexandria Extrusion Company in Alexandria, MN. She has a background in many areas of Human Resources and her current focus is on recruitment as well as other HR functions.

In addition to being the Treasurer of West Central MN SHRM, Deb is a Leadership Alexandria graduate and has been involved with the Job Fair committee and the local Diversity Resource Action Alliance.

Team Relations Generalist

Katie Jerde is PHR-certified (Human Resources Professional) with over eight years in the field.  As a Team Relations Generalist at Tastefully Simple, she concentrates on staffing, orientation, team member development, and leadership coaching and performance management.  Katie has also facilitated training sessions on FISH, Diversity and Harassment, Domestic Violence Awareness, Behavioral-based Interviews, Career Development, and other related topics. 

 

Katie is involved with DECCA, Junior Achievement, Co-Chair of the Business & Employer’s Council, and Vice President of the West Central MN SHRM chapter.

Ashlie has been a member of the West Central MN SHRM since 2005 and a national member since 2006.  Ashlie graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota with Distinction in 2005. Her focus of study was Human Resource Development and Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the College of Education and Human Development and the Carlson School of Management.  Ashlie earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification in 2008.

Ashlie is employed at Broadway Medical Center as their Human Resource Generalist. Ashlie works on the Administrative team focusing on compensation and benefits administration, staffing and selection, employee relations, performance management, and legal compliance.

In addition to being Treasurer of West Central MN SHRM, Ashlie is a member of the Alexandria Young Professionals group and is involved with the Job Fair Committee.

Sam has been a member of West Central MN SHRM since 2000 and a National SHRM member since 1997. Prior to the formation of the West Central MN SHRM Chapter, she was a member of the Central MN (St. Cloud) SHRM Chapter. Sam holds a Bachelors Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Minnesota.

Sam has been the Director of Human Resources for American Solutions for Business, a national business solutions distributor with 900 employees in 49 states. As Director of HR, Sam is an active member of the company's Management Team, making certain that the company's human resources are aligned with the strategic direction of the company. Prior to joining American, Sam held HR generalist, specialist, and management positions with Honeywell and Dayton-Hudson Corporation. Overall, she has 25+ years of Human Resources experience.

In addition to her role as Legislative Chair, Sam is active in, and past Chair of, the Board of Directors of the West Central MN Healthcare Purchasing Alliance. She also currently serves on the Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. Workforce Council.

HR Director

Shari is currently a member of West Central MN SHRM and a member of National SHRM member.  Shari will receive her Bachelor in Applied Science Degree in management from Southwest Minnesota State - Marshall in May 2007.

Shari is the Human Resources Director at Alexandria Technical College.  She has been with the College for 29 years and in human resources for 11 years. 

In addition to her role as Diversity Chair, she is a Leadership Alexandria graduate and active in the Alexandria Area Diversity Resource Action Alliance.

Lynette has been a member of West Central MN SHRM as well as a National SHRM member since 1993. Lynette completed the Human Resource Management Program at Cardinal Stritch University.

Lynette works as an Organizational Development Manager at Alexandria Extrusion Company in Alexandria, MN focusing on strategic planning, leadership development, all training initiatives as well as all human resource functions.

Lynette has held a variety of positions with West Central MN SHRM…most recently completing her two year term as President. Lynette was also the recipient of West Central MN SHRM’s first annual HR Professional Award of Excellence in 2005.

In addition to being the Past President of West Central MN SHRM, Lynette is also the Past President of Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Chamber Education Committee, and Co-Chair of the Alexandria Area Business and Professional Women Individual Development Committee
